GOH - 2022

Gates of Heaven - 1200K LRM India's signature & premier event requires lot of mental strength, excellent navigation skills, manage with limited food & hydration along the trail, Time & sleep management, face extreme weather conditions, apart from individual physical strengths.

The 1st edition in 2017, 8 started only 2 completed.

2nd edition in 2018 we had 42 Elite endurance Randonneurs started & only 2 completed

3rd edition of GOH is 1200Km with 13500+ mtrs elevation pedalling to highest peak in Karnataka *Mullyangiri* descend on the famous *Agumbe Ghat* climb the western ghats via *Charmadi Ghat* finally roller coaster *highly rolling terrains in Sakleshpur & Coorg*

80% of the roads are in good condition, remaining 20% is slightly rough or bumpy of which 3-4% is very bad sections

30% of the route is on NH (4- lane) starting 150km and last 180 km.

70% NH & SH (2-Lane) country side roads few places road works in place

Day 2 - Climb to Kaimara via lingadahalli & rolling terrain ( 260 to 290Km)

Climb to Mullyangiri peak 15km, last 3 km is steep ascend narrow roads & heavy car traffic.

Rolling terrain to Dattatreya peta expect car traffic

Chickmagaluru to Agumbe 100+kms rolling terrain. 350 - 470km

Deadly descend via Agumbe Ghat in night.

Rolling terrain to from Udupi to Karkala.

*Day 3. 565km to 870km -305 km has 4600 mtrs elevation*

30km climb via Charmadi ghat. NO for food & hydration available on the climbs.

Rolling terrain, steep climbs till Madikere. (limited food & hydration available during day, night no resources available).

765km to 790km is highly rolling with steep climbs & descend. 15 kms of climb to Madikere 810 - 825km

Roads WIP from Madikere 827km to Chetalli 835km. Very narrow & dangerous section.

1 drop bag with max 5kg / person will be accessable @ 565km (Night 2/Day 3) Karkala & 875km (Night 3/Day4) Kushalnagar. Shower, Bed, Food & Hydration available for riders at these *Bag Drop Control points*

Food,snacks & Hydration will be made available at critical points at remote deserted sections on hills wherever possible at Chickmagaluru, Western Ghats & Coorg.

Limited mobile network on hills.

Weather will be very cold in nights, day will be warmer and humid at costal towns. Fog in mornings.

We do not have a refund policy. Once registration is confirmed the registration fee is non-refundable and the registration amount is also non-transferable

Eligibility to Register

1. Completed an LRM event within allotted time from PBP 2019 till 31 October - 2021, including but not limited to Bangalore - Goa - Bangalore 1,200Km, Chalukyas 1,200Km, Climb Ka Baap v2 1,200Km

2. Completed PBP 2019 within 90 hours

3. Completed an Inspire India ride from November 2019 till 31 October 2021 within RQ time

Being eligible to register does not guarantee participation in the event. The slots are limited and the rider will have to register for the event when registrations open

Requests for slots after closure of registration will not be entertained

Kindly register only if the you are certain to participate in the event, do not block the slot and withdraw later, keep in mind that you might be denying another rider an opportunity to ride.

Unqualified rider's registration will be invalidated and the registration fee will be forfeited

Last date for withdrawal of registration is 15 December 2021, 8:00 pm, refund of registration fees is subject to replacement available from the wait list, if any.
