Pondy Pedalers welcome newbie riders to the world of randonneuring with Cashew Xpress 200.

Starting from Hotel Pudhuvai Ashok, nestled within white town rides takes one towards Cuddalore on ECR crossing the famous Paradise Beach and back waters. Once after crossing the Thenpennai river, rider picks the bypass towards the Panruti. Panruti Cashews are world famous and ofcourse riders would be served with the same before launching themselves on rocket mode to reach Ulundurpet.

Riders take a U turn at Salem/Ulundurpet Bypass junction and launch themselves again on Highway for nearly 120 km. Few checkpoints would be coming along the way where riders would be hydrated and served local cuisine to get onselves going.
Road between Ulundurpet and Tindivanam hardly has any bad stretches which means riders can swift pass without having any second thoughts.

At Tindivanam, riders take a slight detouring and merge back into the lanes pointed towards Pondicherry. This stretch of 37kms is really enjoyable as one hardly see any traffic and roads are butter smooth. Post reaching the Accord Junction, riders would be entering the busy Maraimalai adigal saalai before taking a right onto South Boulevard. Here one can see the famous Sacred Heart of Jesus Basilica, which is close to 110+ years old. Definitely riders would be hearing the sunday Choirs before they reach the Hotel Pudhuvai Ashok back in Uppalam Road.
